Risk Disclosure
Last updated: 20 August 2026
Candela is a trading journal — a place to record and reflect on trades you decide on and execute elsewhere. Because our customers trade high-risk products, we want the risk position stated plainly, in one place. This page sits alongside our Terms of Service.
Trading is high-risk
Trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. CFDs and other leveraged products carry a high risk of losing money rapidly — the majority of retail accounts lose money trading them. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, and losses can exceed deposits on some products and venues.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. That includes your own: statistics in your Candela journal — win rates, profit factors, scores, streaks, patterns — describe what happened, not what will happen. An edge that shows in your history may not persist.
What Candela is — and is not
Candela does not execute trades, does not hold funds, does not connect to your brokerage account, and does not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Nothing in the product — the dashboard, analytics, scores, guide content, blog, emails or AI coach — is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or trade anything, and nothing in Candela is a financial promotion or an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity.
We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and we are not a licensed financial adviser in any jurisdiction. If you need advice about your circumstances, consult someone who is authorised to give it.
The AI coach
The AI coach is an educational feature that reflects on your own recorded history. It is designed and instructed never to predict prices, recommend trades, or suggest position sizes — and if it ever appears to do so, that output is an error and must not be relied on. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Verify everything; decide nothing on the coach's word alone.
Your data, your decisions
Journal analytics are only as accurate as what you record. Imported statements are parsed on a best-effort basis and your broker's records are always the authoritative version of your trading history. Every trading decision you make — and every profit or loss that follows — is your own responsibility.
